Mig Welder/ Fabricator
Toccoa, GA 30577
These positions are in the Hartwell, GA area 1st shift (8 hour). Stating pay is $15.00 per hour.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must have reliable transportation and show up to work on time every day.
Must comply with all company (and customer) safety and personnel policies and adhere to OSHA safety standards.
Must work quickly, productively and safely without error and consistently meet the goals as set by management team.
Work is to be performed in a professional manner.
Weld manufactured parts and sub-assemblies using various welding methods as appropriate to materials used.
Use jigs, fixtures, and assembly blueprints.
Locate positions and welds parts using MIG welding equipment as specified in blueprints.
Adjust welding equipment to desired amperage and wire feed.
Proficient with various hand tools including but not limited to: MIG welding tools, spot welding tools, stud gun, hand grinder, and drill.
Perform other duties assigned from time to time by Management team.
Skills & Requirements:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges.
Familiarity of the metric system and possess ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents.
Adept at using small hand and power tools.
Experience with press breaks, folding machines and automatic saws preferred.
Good paperwork and counting skills.
Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day, depending on task requirements.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., knell, bend, stoop, squat, climb and crawl.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Dependability a must.
Must be able to concentrate on required tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is essential.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, accept direction and work closely with co-workers in a Team oriented department.
Required Experience and/or Education:
Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-yr college or technical school; or six months to one year relate4d experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Certified Welder AWS or equivalent senior level job experience operating forming equipment. 1-3 years experience operating Fabrication forming equipment.
